Racketeer Radio KFQX Updates for the Fall & Beyond
September 1st this year brings more than labor day weekend and the winding down of summer. It brings some updates and upcoming changes to Racketeer Radio KFQX. This summer we have learned alot, adapted alot, achieved alot of new boundries and broken alot of barries for us!
Daily Schedule
The first thing we want to announce is the update to our Daily Schedule. We have moved some programs around, to open up some more air time to bring you more live music from venues around the U.S. We will slowly be working to bring more and more 'Live Radio Remotes' each week. 'Live Radio Remotes' are Bands and Artists broadcasting their live performances (concerts) on Racketeer Radio KFQX, from venues across America. Our goal is to set out and give you, the listener, the oppurtunity to bring live music from the stage to you home, or work or car or garage, or wherever you may be. Additionally, Racketeer Radio KFQX has moved some programs around to make a complete weekly schedule, you can see our new updated Schedule to view all the changes. Shows like, 'Juke in the Back', 'Big Band Bash', 'Shaun Youngs' Record Vault Show' will all remain at the 4pm Pacific standard time on same day as previously before. Programs such as, 'History of Rock N Roll', 'Radium Hot Club', 'Memories in Melody' and 'Sounds of Sinatra' will move, two hours ahead, from Noon to 10 am Pacific Standard Time, as 'Hot off the Press' hosted by me, Ace Hartmann, where I will be bringing you the hottest and newest tunes daily beginning at Noon PST. We will be making these updates the labor day weekend (September 2-3) and will continue to make updates as needed.
Some programs like 'Hot off the Press' and 'Racketeer Radio KFQX Presents Live Radio Remotes' have extended the hours of the program for the new schedule, which means more up to date music from bands that make this community, In Seattle and the World. Racketeer Radio KFQX is on the mission to bring music news, releases, live events, updates, straight to you., you can make it easier downloading the Racketeer Radio KFQX app, available on both Apple and Android markets.
Giveaways
On the Racketeer Radio KFQX app is where you can find your way in winning free tickets to shows if you are in the Seattle area and sometimes nationally. Our contest for tickets to this years Riot Fest in Chicago just ended, but we have two local ticket giveaways going on until mid September. Bad Religion returns to the PNW as the stop in Tacoma at the Temple Theatre, October 4th and Mustard Plug and Big D and the Kids Table co headline Oct 6th at El Corazon here in Seattle. This month we plan to add even more ticket giveaways so download the Rakceteer Radio KFQX app and keep tuning in for upcoming giveaways!
Volunteers
As we (Racketeer Radio KFQX is a very very small team that is passionate and deicated) work to bring you daily music news and updates from 'the underworld' in the sounds of Big Band Jazz, Jump Blues, Rhythm and Blues. Lounge & TiKI, Rockabilly, Reggae Ska and Punk Rock on air and print, we are always looking for passionate, inspired reporters to help bring the news and share it with our listeners.
